We do a lot of work in ESN and add more skills to ourselves every day.  When you look back after your previous years in ESN, you realize how much you have added experience to yourself. We can gain many skills such as organizational skills, presentation skills, and communicating skills. Now we want to talk about the TOP 5 SKILLS that come to our mind.

1.ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS

Organizational skills are among the most desirable transferable skills an employee can have. These skills allow you to effectively and efficiently use such resources as time, energy, or mental capacity to achieve the desired outcome.

These skills are not innate skills but you can improve your skills when you focus on doing that kind of activities. And you can think that “why are organizational skills important?”.

Strong organizational skills are important for a variety of reasons. You can gain skills such as;

  • Collaboration
  • Communication
  • Teamwork
  • Delegation
  • Mental organizational skills
  • Physical organization
  • Planning
  • Prioritizing
  • Crisis management
  • Time management
  • Work-life balance

When we return and look at our ESN career, we all took part in various event planning. These event plannings enabled us to gain many of the abilities we have mentioned above.

2.PUBLIC SPEAKING

For those not born with natural eloquence, public speaking can be remarkably nerve-racking. But you can get a lot better! With many conversations you do at ESN atmosphere, you can be ready to talk in front of the public without realizing it.

While expressing your feelings and thoughts freely within this network, at the same time your public speaking skill is improved day by day. We can find the opportunity to make presentations many times in ESN events, at the same time we have chance to observe the presentations of other people. These experiences make us more courageous in our daily life.

3.LANGUAGE SKILLS

As a language learner we need to achieve all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Four of them are language skills we need to develop for complete communication. Expose yourself to the foreign language as much as possible!

Thanks to ESN, we can improve our listening and speaking skills with foreign people you meet, and practice foreign language with them.

The documents in foreign language we have prepared and many articles in foreign language we have read are improving our writing and reading language skills.

Here’s an important tip: Practice makes perfect, so don’t forget to practice if you want to develop a certain skill!

4.COMPUTER PROGRAM SKILLS

The reports, presentations and various documents we have prepared for ESN works also increase our program skills.

Some common computer skills include:

  • Analytics
  • Social Media
  • Graphic Design
  • Microsoft Office
  • Spreadsheets
  • E-mail Communication
  • Marketing Automation
  • Data Visualization

We develop our program skills in our ESN works. Here’s the some works we use program skills; social media management, preparing documents, and creating websites.

5.COMMUNICATION SKILLS

We can meet new people every day with ESN and we are always in social environments of this network. When we talk about social environment, the first thing that comes to our mind is communication. We frequently communicate with people while taking many responsibilities and doing these tasks with ESN.

These communication skills  will help you get hired and give you an advantage in many areas in your business life. The ability to communicate effectively with superiors, colleagues, and staff is essential, no matter what industry you work in.
